Peace for Ukraine is a photo initiative by Paul Terrie, created in collaboration with professional Ukrainian models as a call for peace and global solidarity.
In response to the war’s devastating human toll, the project uses portraiture to humanize the crisis and mobilize support. Funds raised through the project benefit Ukrainian charities providing urgent aid to civilians impacted by the conflict.
“BAGGED” is an ongoing photographic project exploring the fragility of presence in contemporary relationships. It reflects on the invisible barriers that modern technology and fast-paced lifestyles create between people — a subtle yet persistent sense of separation.
The work visualizes the metaphor of an unseen bubble surrounding each of us, limiting intimacy, empathy, and true involvement in one another’s lives. Through staged and observational imagery, the project questions how connected we truly are, and what it means to be genuinely present with someone.
War. 11 Portraits
The project was developed in 2014 in collaboration with Taras Polataiko during our visit to Kyiv’s Central Military Clinical Hospital. It documents eleven severely wounded Ukrainian soldiers through large-scale black-and-white portraits accompanied by recorded audio interviews in which the soldiers speak about their personal experiences and needs.
Pavlo Terekhov created the visual concept and photographed the series. Taras Polataiko conceived the project and conducted the interviews.
